About Us
We are a small family based cattery near Ely in Cambridgeshire, UK. All of our cats are active members of the household, and we have only two active breeding queens, so we can give our kittens and cats all of the love and attention they deserve. We lead train our cats, and we provide a cat safe enclosed garden for the cats to explore. We are a registered cattery with the UK's Governing Council of the Cat Fancy (GCCF), and The International Cat Association (TICA), and all of our cats and kittens are dual registered with both GCCF and TICA. We are proud members of the GCCF Good Breeder Scheme.
We are members in good standing of the Russian and Abyssinian Cat Club Society (RACCS). Before COVID we regularly showed our cats, and many of our adult cats are proud GCCF Nebelung Breed Merit Qualifiers as well as having titles with TICA.
We expect our kittens to go to forever homes where they will be loved members of a household. Nebelungs are a breed that like to explore, but given the many dangers of being an outside cat, we only send kittens to homes where they will be inside cats (ideally with access to a cat proof garden.) Kittens go to their new homes at 16 weeks, provided with a harness and lead so that they can explore with their new owners, and we strongly recommend as a minimum, access to an enclosed outside run.
Our kittens go to their new homes at 16 weeks old with:
-Full GCCF and TICA registration papers
-A copy of their pedigree
-4 weeks of free pet insurance with Agria
-A sample bag of the food they are eating
-A few favourite toys and a hand knitted blanket from home
-Full vaccination records
-Flea, tick and wormer
-A copy of their baby photos
We do not sell kittens for breeding, and all of our kittens go to their new homes having been already neutered.
Please contact us if you are interested in being added to our kitten list. We expect potential new owners to visit us to see our adult cats and make sure they still feel a Nebelung is a good fit for them. We expect a lifelong relationship with kitten owners, so a visit also allows us to get to know each other. We visit the homes of potential kitten owners too. When we are all agreed that it is a good fit, we take a non-refundable deposit to reserve a kitten.
Our 2021 pricing is £1000 for one kitten (going to a home with a minimum of one resident cat or a kitten from elsewhere) or £1800 for a pair of kittens. We do not sell kittens to homes where they will be an only cat, as this is not in our kittens' best interests. As said before, we expect our kittens to go to homes where they are indoor only or preferentially have access to a cat proof garden.
